Power plant in New England needed to replace four bronze salt water impellers. New impellers were a four month lead time.

• Circumstances prior to failure:

Pump impellers had run for twelve years with extensive vane wear.

Pumpcoat Solution

Pumpcoat repair welded, epoxy coated and balanced the impellers.

Worn out casings were also refurbished by epoxy rebuild with Aluminum oxide filled epoxy.

Additional rebuild of the pump bases included welding, fabrication of new pump support feet and epoxy coating of the entire baseplate.
